This is an Octogenarian (Octo) Hike for those who have aged out of normal CMC hikes, or anyone who finds CMC's traditional Easy hikes more than they want or can do. Octo Hikes are slower paced, have shorter distances, less elevation gain, and more frequent stops than typical Easy A hikes. We also normally stop for snacks at picnic tables, where available, or social lunch at a local cafe after the hike
We will hike on trail toward our nominal destination for two hours or so, then turn around and head back to the cars. Since the West parking lot is closed for the year, we will start from the East parking lot, and may not reach the summit in that time frame.

Meeting Place and Time - Leave from Wooly Mammoth Ride Share lot Section HH 8 am. Driving distance is 36 mi RT = $11 shared by carpool occupants.
