This trip follows an established trail and is an ideal way to burn off some steam after working all week. We will meet at the Gateway Mesa Parking Lot, and start at the trailhead heading clockwise on the chuck’s loop trail until it intersects with the legacy trail. We will take the legacy trail until it meats up again with Chuck’s Loop. From there we will walk out onto the rocky overlook and enjoy the view for a few minutes. We’ll be heading back before it gets dark by getting back on the Chuck’s Loop in a clockwise direction back to the parking lot.

Bring good shoes, warm layer and wind protection since we’ll be walking on an exposed mesa where the wind can pick up as the sun goes down. Please bring a flashlight for safety since we will be hiking back around sunset.
