Intermediate Snowshoe – RMNP - Bierstadt Lake
This will be a snowshoe trip from Bear Lake to Mill Creek Basin and Hollowell Park via Bierstadt Lake. It will require a car shuttle.

We will meet in Fort Collins in the Target parking lot at College & Troutman. Please meet in the NW corner of the parking lot. Meeting time will be finalized as we near the trip date, but plan on something around 7am.
For our Denver/Boulder friends, we will try to coordinate a car shuttle to the either the Estes Park or the Beaver Meadows Visitor Centers. Again we will finalize details as we near the trip date.
This trip will be a one way trip involving a car shuttle. Once shuttle has been set up, we will begin the snowshoe at Bear Lake. From Bear Lake we will snowshoe to the Bierstadt Lake trail and follow it to the lake. We will then snowshoe around the lake and eventually get to the Mill Creek Trail. We will then follow the MCT to Mill Creek Basin then take the Hollowell Park trail back to Hollowell Park. At the end of the snowshoe, some participants may have to wait at Hollowell Park while we retrieve the vehicles at Bear Lake and complete the shuttle.
Required Equipment
Snowshoes will be required. Microspikes alone will not be acceptable. Also gaiters and trekking poles with snow baskets will be helpful.
