Meet at the Gold Hill TH on CO 9 at 8:45.  Be ready to snowshoe at 9:00.  From I-70, take Exit 203 to Frisco.  Travel on CO 9 south to the trailhead.  The trailhead is south of Frisco and north of Breckenridge.  There is ample parking with a kiosk on the southbound side of CO 9.

This is and in and out snowshoe trek to Gold Hill in Breckenridge.  This snowshoe trip is appropriate for all levels of snowshoers.  With fresh snowfall, this trip will be more difficult with breaking trail.  

This trail is part CO trail segment 7.

Soft snow in the afternoon sun could make this trail a posthole misery, therefore, snowshoes are required.  No barebooting.

Bring the usual and appropriate winter layers for cold and wind.  Bring enough to keep your body, head and face, hands, and feet warm. 

Poles with ski baskets will be helpful.
