This Coney Flats out-and-back snowshoe hike winds through a stunning mix of alpine meadows, snow-draped forests, and icy streams, offering a quintessential winter escape. This moderately challenging trail rewards adventurers with sweeping views of the Indian Peaks Wilderness and the peaceful ambiance of a pristine backcountry setting. It provides an invigorating yet tranquil experience in Colorado’s winter landscape. This is the same snowshoe hike as the one on Jan 13th and an attempt to accommodate the waitlist. Carpool Place & Time: Meet at US 36 & McCaslin Blvd PnR-South 7:30AM for a 7:45AM departure (US 36 and McCaslin Blvd Park and Ride - South - Google Maps)

We'll carpool to the Trailhead parking near Beaver Reservoir (limited parking) (40°07'16.4"N 105°31'26.3"W - Google Maps)

Embark on a snowshoe adventure through the enchanting winter wonderland of Coney Flats, where every step feels like traversing a dreamscape. This 7.5-mile out-n-back route meanders through whisper-quiet forests draped in pristine snow, crossing frozen streams and sunlit meadows under the watchful gaze of the Indian Peaks. With a gentle 850-foot elevation gain, this serene journey offers breathtaking views and a deep connection to the untouched beauty of Colorado’s alpine wilderness.
