We will meet at 09:00 am at the Chief Mountain parking lot on CO 103 (Squaw Pass Road). The trailhead is near mile marker 18 and on the south side of the road. Park along the north side of the road, west of the Echo Mountain ski area driveway.

The directions in All Trails are accurate. Parallel parking along the roadside can be tight with plowed snowy roads. A high clearance, 4 WD vehicle is recommended. Bring a shovel to dig out if you get stuck.

Carpooling is encouraged. We will drive from Keystone. Let me know if you are interested in carpooling, and I can help you make arrangements.

This trip is a training hike and gear check for the April hut trip. Priority will be given to participants on the hut trip roster. Other RMOTHG members are welcome to sign up on a space available bases.
