We will meet at 09:00 am at the Chief Mountain parking lot on CO 103 (Squaw Pass Road). The trailhead is near mile marker 18.
The directions in All Trails are accurate. Parallel parking along the roadside can be tight with plowed snowy roads. A high clearance, 4 WD vehicle is recommended. Bring a shovel to dig out if you get stuck.
Carpooling is encouraged. Dan will drive from Front Range, and we will drive from Keystone. Let me know if you are interested in carpooling, and I can help you make arrangements.
Required Equipment
Bring you winter pack with warm layers, hydration, and fuel.
We will decide about snowshoes or spikes at the trailhead.
