The main meeting place will be the RTD surface parking lot at 88th and Sheridan in Westminster. We will plan to depart promptly at 7:15 am, with an estimated arrival time at the Brainard Lake Park and Ride of 8:15 am.
NOTE: this is not the main parking structure on the northeast side of US 36; rather, it is an uncovered lot on the southwest side of the highway. Here are directions to the Park and Ride if you need it: https://maps.app.goo.gl/tK1B57yi17zqtrJT9

This snowshoe trip will start and end at the Brainard Lake Recreation Area Winter Lot. We will take the Sourdough Trail north toward Beaver Reservoir, but turn left on the Wapiti Trail, looping back around to the Sourdough Trail. We will then head south to the beginning point.
This route should have less traffic than other areas within the Brainard Lake Recreation Area. The trail is largely wooded and will provide shelter from the typical winds in the area.
