Hiking – Lawn and Crystal Lakes RMNP

Meet before 7 AM at CoorsTek Parking area, located directly east of American Mountaineering Center,  710 10th St Golden, CO

I can also arrange meeting participants in Boulder, Lyons and Estes Park.  But please note that we have to be at the trailhead before 9AM in order to avoid the permitting to access the park.  

You need to be fully vaccinated against the SARS-Cov-2 virus to participate.

The trailhead is Lawn Lake Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National Park via Fall River Entrance to the park. The elevation of the trailhead is 8500'

Lawn Lake (elevation 11,000 ft.) is one of the largest lakes in RMNP and fills a wide, flat basin at treeline ringed by Fairchild Mountain (13,502') Hagues Peak (13,650') and Mummy Mountain (13,425'). Crystal Lake (elevation 11,540 ft.) is a very scenic lake further uphill at the base of Fairchild Mountain.
