Hiking – Roxborough State Park
We'll hike up Waterton Canyon, then into the back of Roxborough State Park, which is usually not as busy as the front of the park. We'll hike past the dam, then take the connector trail to the Powerline trail. We'll take this trail to the Elk Valley trail which lead us towards the visitor center.

The hike up the canyon will provide a good warm up before hiking up into the park. There are several restrooms along the canyon. We'll stop for a break by the dam before heading into the park. Although the canyon is likely to be busy, neither the connector trail nor the powerline trail are well used and should provide a good hiking experience.
We'll meet at the parking area in Roxborough State Park that is just before the parking area by the visitor's center. The parking area by the visitor's center is likely to be full at the time we meet. Plan to meet at 7:25 AM. A state park pass is required.
From there we will carpool to the parking lot for Waterton Canyon. At the end of the trip volunteers will be needed to take the carpool drivers back to the Waterton Canyon parking lot.
