Hiking – Vogel Canyon Loop
Vogel Canyon is thirteen miles south of LaJunta, Colorado at the end of David Canyon Rd. We’ll have fun finding native American rock art, remains of the stagecoach stops and enjoying the natural beauty of this canyon. The hike is five miles with negligible elevation change. Watch for cairns! We are combining four trails, Vogel Canyon Trail, Overlook Trail, Prairie Trail, and Mesa Trail to form a five mile loop starting and ending at the picnic area. Several springs dot the route making this a nice hike for the dogs as well as an interesting area for people of all ages.
