Hiking – Upper Straight Creek TH

RMOTHG MEMBERS ONLY - Upper Straight Creek (aka "Straight Creek") hike is entirely above treeline, directly above the Eisenhower Tunnel!!! There should be lots of wildflowers along the way. The last time I hiked this (August 3rd, 2023) there were fields of Indian Paintbrush and Elephant Head as well as plenty of Purple Fringe, Whipple's Penstemon and Columbine!!! We also saw a marmot family, crazy, I'm not even kidding!!! We will have a beautiful bird's eye view to the east, looking down on a green Loveland Ski Basin, Mount Sniktau, Grizzly Peak, and Gray's & Torrey's Peaks. To the west we'll see Coon Hill up close and the Gore Range further away.
