RMOTHG MEMBERS ONLY - Upper Straight Creek aka "Straight Creek" is a RMOTHG favorite.  We will drive through the Eisenhower Tunnel and quickly hang a right into a parking area.  We'll follow the Straight Creek drainage to the north for the first mile and then the rest of the hike is basically hiking southeast up the mountainside until we're directly above the Eisenhower Tunnel.   We'll be at the top of Loveland Ski Area and have pretty views to the east and west.  Along the way we'll have beautiful rock outcroppings and wildflowers to look at.  The last time I hiked this on a July 31st there were tons of Indian Paintbrush, Purple Fringe and Columbine!!!

I apologize for the early start time, thunderstorms are predicted to come in around noon and this entire hike is above treeline.  I'd like to stop in Georgetown for some apré hike ice cream!!!
