This hike starts at Herman Gulch Trailhead, takes the Herman Gulch trail, the Jones Pass over Hassell Peak (13,215'), and continues off-trail down into Butler Gulch, taking the Butler Gulch trail down to the Jones Pass Trailhead.  A CAR SHUTTLE IS REQUIRED.

We will meet at Wooly Mammoth Park and Ride, section BB, across from the Exxon gas station, at 6:45am so we can form carpools for the drive to the trailhead and have a PROMPT departure of 7:00am.  Here’s a Google Maps link to Wooly Mammoth: https://goo.gl/maps/XSeTnxeQnvDzLMWz7 

On the way, we will leave car(s) at the Jones Pass or Butler Pass trailhead for the car shuttle.  Then we will proceed to the Herman Gulch Trailhead, where we will start our hike, Take exit 218 from I-70 W.  Here is a Google Maps link to the trailhead:  https://goo.gl/maps/cThMKstfPP1WHWAf8
