Hiking – Sugarloaf Mountain via Stormy Peaks TH
3,200 Feet of elevation gain from the Stormy Peaks trailhead, in Pingree Park, to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain. Enjoy a 12-mile roundtrip hike to this newly ranked 12er due to LIDAR which measures the actual elevation of the highest point at 12,199 feet.

Meet at 6 am at the WalMart SuperCenter at 9901 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229 - meet at the southeast section of the parking lot.
Trekking poles are recommended.
Bring snacks or lunch for a comfortable break on the summit. Bring plenty of water.
Participants should be capable of walking four miles off trail at timberline in addition to the 8 miles of trail hiking.

From the WalMart the driving will be about 180 miles, roundtrip. Participants should expect to pay $15 - $20 to reimburse their driver for expenses.
