Welcome to Rise & Grind, the CMC Boulder Group’s morning hiking and coffee series. Our objective is to start our day off right with some exercise, good company and maybe a little mindfulness too. In addition to the hike itself, we’ll take a moment to pause on the summit, reflect on our intentions for the day and perhaps do some breathing exercises. Afterward there will be an optional stop for coffee, symbolizing a fresh start and the energy needed to conquer the day.
For this morning's Rise & Grind we’ll be hiking the Upper Big Bluestem, Mesa and Towhee Trail Loop. The route will ascend approximately 849 feet over 4.4 miles round trip. The trip should take less than two hours, but allow for up to three.
Please note, while this will be a easy/moderate hike, it is not designed to be a beginner trip. This will be a before-work hike for some participants, so it’s important that we maintain our pace and finish promptly so folks can get to work on time. Please know your own abilities and be considerate of the rest of the group when you sign up.
