Meet at the Quandary Peak TH parking lot no later than 7:15am. We plan to be hiking by 7:30am. Directions:

From Breckenridge, drive 8 miles south on Colorado 9. Turn right (west) on the 850 (Blue Lakes) Road. Trailhead parking is on the right, just after you leave the highway. If you took the Breckenridge shuttle, it will drop you off here. To begin your hike up Quandary Peak, follow signs from the parking area and walk up the 851 road 0.1 miles to the signed trail on the left.

Plan for the entire hike to be below freezing. That means bringing layers for windy and cold conditions as well as no camelbacks where the tube will freeze.

You should have mittens in your pack as well as microspikes for snow.

Please ask questions if you are new to winter mountaineering as this is the reason for this climb....to help people learn new skills. There are NO dumb questions!
