Hiking – Pikes Peak Summit via Barr Trail

Let's hike Pikes Peak by this iconic trail one week after the Pikes Peak Marathon. The stats are impressive.. 24 miles RT, 7600' of elevation gain. However, this is a class 1 trail all the way to the summit.

I'd like us to start at 4am so that we get to the summit in good time, enjoy summit donuts and snacks and hike the same way down.

Note, that we won't necessarily stay together. Last year, we got very spread out. So, basically, find a buddy or two at the same pace to hike with. If people finish ahead of other people, feel free to go home; you don't need to wait.
