Hiking – Peak to Plains Trail

We will walk along the scenic Clear Creek Peaks to Plains trail starting at the west end of Golden. The four-mile round-tip trail is paved. It follows the creek through for two miles just past Tunnel 1 on US 6. For RMOTHG members only.

Meet at 9:30am in Golden at the Clear Creek White Water Park -- in the parking lot across of the street from Lyon's Park at 10th and Maple (go West on 10th from Washington, past the baseball field, the large parking lot is on the South side of the street).

We will walk along the beautiful new Clear Creek Peaks to Plains trail starting at the west end of Golden. The four-mile round-tip trail is paved. It follows the creek or two miles just past Tunnel 1 on US 6. It is an out and back trip.

For those interested, we can have an early lunch at the starting point along the creek or across the street in Lyons Park. Bring your own lunch.

Please let leader know if you have any medical conditions which could affect the trip, including, asthma, heart or lung issues, diabetes, balance disorders, etc.

Required Equipment

No need to bring a hiking pack, a small pack or belt pack will work. Bring ID, medial insurance or Medicare card, medications you may need on the trip, appropriate clothes for the weather, water, sunscreen and comfortable waking shoes or hiking boots.
