Hiking – Palmer Lake Reservoir Trailhead - Ice Cave Creek Loop
This is a loop hike from the Palmer Lake Reservoir Trailhead, up the Ice Cave Creek and Ice Cave Cliffs trails to a ridge, followed by a tour of the large boulder formations, including Cap Rock, where will have some fun scrambling up some of the boulders. We will return via the Palmer Lake Upper Reservoir

This is a CMC Bobcats hike
Meet at 7:15AM in the Cabela’s parking lot at Ridgegate and I-25 in Lone Tree, specifically in the northwest section of the parking lot near the Cabela's, so we can leave no later than 7:30AM. Here is a Google Maps link to Cabela’s: https://goo.gl/maps/wWCXBUwvW7D5SDSg6.
We will be using the Palmer Lake Trailhead in the town of Palmer Lake. Here is a link to the trailhead in Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/aPMjnVNGLVC2 . We should be at the trailhead in Palmer Lake at 8:00am. Note that there is a $5 fee to park at this trailhead, unless you are a Palmer Lake resident.
This hike has a steep section on a social trail, lots of hiking on large rock formations, and some Class 2 and 2+ scrambling. So, make sure you have appropriate footwear.
