Hiking – Orbital Trail - Segment 4
For Rocky Mountain Over the Hill Gang members ONLY. We will hike segment 4 of the Denver Orbital Trail (DOT) – Bear Creek Lake Park and C-470 trail. There will be an optional stop at the Lariat Lodge Brewing Company after the hike.

We will meet at 8:30am at the Ken Caryl Park N Ride, 7450 S Shaffer Ln, Littleton. https://maps.app.goo.gl/Hg5YiESLKcMdZmLp9 We will carpool to our starting spot in Bear Creek Lake Park.
The DOT is a walking route that makes a full circle around Denver. Segment 4 starts in Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood. We will walk through the park. We then cross a pedestrian footbridge over 285 with “an incredible vista of the mountains overlooking the park”. We will then be walking along the C-470 trail described as “functional and nice enough”. We’ll end at the Ken Caryl Park N Ride. The Lariat Lodge Brewing Company is right there so we’ll make a stop there for any who are interested.
