The DOT is a walking route that makes a full circle around Denver.  We are hiking segment 21.   Here is a link to the map of Segment 21: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/dot-segment-21-platte-river-trail-to-riverdale-regional-park?u=i&sh=bhqvqk

We will be on paved paths for most of this hike.  There are no bathrooms at the car drop (Engineer Lake) or at our start place, King Ranch Park, but there should be a couple of spots along the way.

This route is exploratory for the trip leaders.

Since the distance between trailheads is short and half of us will be driving, there will be no carpool cost sharing.

Dress appropriately for the weather, including sunscreen and a hat, plus a wind jacket.  Bring a snack/lunch and plenty of water.

We will meet at 9:00am at the Engineer Lake Parking Lot, 2984 E 74th Ave, Denver, CO 80229. https://maps.app.goo.gl/ixXxR7D3653izwcu5   We will then carpool to our starting spot at King Ranch Park near the intersection of Spruce St and Tamarac St in Thornton.   https://maps.app.goo.gl/sPE7yXqbVU8uKpRj8  We will be parking on the street and meeting at the covered shelter in the park, just a bit SW of the park entrance on Spruce St.  as linked above.
