Meet at the City Park Pool parking lot at 221 S Parkside Lane, Pueblo CO 81005 at 8am or at the Archery Range Road trailhead in Beulah at 8:45 am. The hike starts at the trailhead.

The loop hike starts at the Archery Range Road Trailhead in Beulah. From the trailhead we will enter the Pueblo Mountain Park via the Archery Range Trail to the Northridge Trail until it meets Squirrel Creek. We will then cross Squirrel Creek into the San Isabel National Forrest following the Squirrel Creek Trail #1384 crossing the creek several times until arriving at the historic Pavilion. The flow and level of the creek should be low this time of year. We will then return via the Squirrel Creek Trail back to the Carhart Trail into the Pueblo Mountain Park and then back to the trailhead. The hike follows rolling terrain with some steeper areas of moderate gain going up Northridge and on the return up Carhart Trail. Typically, the hike takes about 4- 4 1/2 hours. For those interested, plan on eating lunch at the El Pueblo Group potluck lunch around 12pm. The pavilion for the picnic, that is in Pueblo Mountain Park, is a short walking or driving distance from the Archery Range Road Trailhead.

An email will be sent on Friday evening to all members on the hike roster providing weather information and other details of the hike as needed.

Please email me by Thursday, October 31st at 5pm to let me know if you are going to join us at the El Pueblo Potluck Picnic. More information about the potluck will be sent out in a separate email.
