Hiking – North Cheyenne Canyon Park

We will meet at the Safeway 3275 W. Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs at 7 am to form carpools to leave at 7:15 and drive up Gold Camp Road to parking lot above Helen Hunt Falls.  You are also welcome to meet at the Gold Camp Rd parking lot at 7:45am.  I will be driving a dark blue Toyota 4Runner.  Let the leader know if meeting at the Upper Gold Camp Rd TH parking lot.  Safeway Parking Lot Meeting Place to carppol: https://goo.gl/maps/PZKRMRb3bByjJ5iE6    Upper Gold Camp Rd parking lot meeting location:  https://goo.gl/maps/i2RU998T9koUMDkp8

We will carpool up Gold Camp Road to the Upper Gold Camp Rd parking lot above Helen Hunt Falls.  This trail head is used for many different trails.  We will hike appoximately 3/4 of a mile on a road and take the 7 Bridges Trail, joining another trail to Loud's Cabin.  This area was once a very thriving location.  Charles Loud was a professor at Colorado College.  This cabin was called the Chipmunk Lodge.  We will return on the Ring the Peak Trail / Capt Jacks Trail then the Buckhorn Trail to the parking lot.
