We'll meet for carpooling at the Safeway 3275 W Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs, in the SE end of the parking lot. Plan on arriving by 6:45am, we'll depart the parking lot sharply at 7am. It is approximately a 1 hour drive over gravel Old Stage / Gold Camp roads to Rosemont where the hike will begin.

After hiking about 1.5 miles on a OHV road, we'll climb Nelson's Trail #672 to the Mount Rosa Trail #673. Nelson's Trail is very rough, rocky and rooty in sections, requiring some aggressive step-ups. Participants must be comfortable hiking in this terrain. The views from Mt Rosa trail and summit are quite spectacular. Bring food and water for at least 4 hours.
