This hike starts at Herman Gulch Trailhead.  From the trailhead, we will take the Watrous Gulch Trail into Watrous Gulch, where we will then connect with the Bard Creek Trail and take it until the trail intersects with Mt Parnassus' south ridge.  We will then follow the south ridge trail to Mt Parnassus' summit.  This route is steeper than the standard route up the north ridge, and is mostly a tundra walk, except for some scrambling about 2/3rd of the way up.

From Mt Parnassus' summit we will descend down the north ridge to the saddle with Woods Mountain, then descend into Watrous Gulch and back to the trailhead via the Watrous Gulch trail.

We will meet at Wooly Mammoth Park and Ride, section BB, across from the Exxon gas station, at 6:45am so we can form carpools for the drive to the trailhead and have a PROMPT departure of 7:00am.  Here’s a Google Maps link to Wooly Mammoth: https://goo.gl/maps/XSeTnxeQnvDzLMWz7
