This hike involves steep, strenuous sections of trail, occasional moderate exposure and easy scrambling near the summit. We should arrive on the summit shortly before sunset and will begin descent just prior to sunset to ensure adequate light for majority of descent. A headlamp or flashlight is required for descent in the event we do not reach the trailhead by dusk.
This hike will be postponed if temperatures at the start exceed 80 degrees.
5:30pm at the Mount Garfield trailhead. We'll start out hike at 5:45pm
