Hiking – Missouri Lakes Loop: Fancy Lake, Fancy Pass, Missouri pass, Missouri Lakes

The Fancy Lake Trailhead is in the Holy Cross Wilderness, off of US24 south of Minturn.  Here’s a Google Maps link to the trailhead:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/KKmgMJ8WCrkb8WEbA

This is a spectacular loop hike in the Holy Cross Wilderness.  It has climbs over 2 passes, including a steep climb up and over Fancy pass from Fancy lake, and a steep climb over Missouri pass at 11,986 ft.  The reward for the effort will be several beautiful alpine lakes in three drainages, such as Fancy Lake and several Missouri Lakes.

Due to the length of the hike, and especially the relatively long drive to and from the trailhead, this will be a long day.  You should not have anything else planned that day.
