Hiking – Maxwell Falls
This Maxwell Falls route is a Front Range gem. It offers the feeling of a wilderness hike – despite its being only a few convenient miles from both Evergreen and Conifer. The hiker is rewarded with scenic views of rocky cliffs, waterfalls (frozen in Winter), and quiet forests. Starting from the Upper Trailhead the route combines almost all of Maxwell Falls' trails – except a section that goes to the Lower TH. It is 5.5 miles long, with approximately 800 feet of elevation gain – taking about 4 hours total time, 3 hours hiking time, at a pace of 1.6 mph.
