The incline is a challenging trail with over 2,700 steps leading up to a steep scenic route. If you are looking for a challenge to keep you in great shape to go climb mountains while enjoying breathtaking views, this trip is for you!

Let's meet at the Hiawatha Gardens parking lot at 5:30 pm. There is a small parking fee at Hiawatha (about $2). We can take the free Shuttle to the TH, but will have to walk or jog to back to the cars (1.3 miles or about 30 mins walk). You can also park at the Iron Springs Chateau for $15 (cash only). Meetup time at the trailhead is 6:00pm.
This is not a beginner hike. The goal is to go up in about one hour which allows for a slow and steady pace but barely any time for rest. If you are faster, you can go at your own pace and meet at the summit. We will come down the Barr trail at an approximate pace of 2.5 miles per hour.
Required Equipment
10 essentials. Extra emphasis on illumination since we will be hiking in the dark at least part of the route. Trekking poles recommended.
