Hiking – Lory State Park - Overlook Trail

Hike and sing(!) on a 3.5-mile trail loop at Lory State Park. FAMILY Trip - for parents/grandparents with kids (ages 10+). This easy hike is about 3.5 miles and 750 ft of elevation gain.

We will carpool from the parking lot of Pringles Fine Wines & Spirits at the corner of Taft and Drake in Fort Collins. Meet at 7:15 and depart at 7:30.

This is a FAMILY trip. FAMILY is defined as at least one parent/grandparent/guardian/etc. accompanying at least one child age(s) 10 yrs and up. Preference will be given to participants who sign up as a FAMILY. 

Please email the trip leader to register, with names of family members and ages of children. You can/should email the leader BEFORE registration opens.

This is also a SINGING hike! Nobody is required to sing. The trip leaders plan to lead a selection of hiking and outdoor songs, and you are encouraged to join in as we enjoy an easy hike overlooking Horesetooth Reservoir.

We hope to make this a light-hearted and casual hike for families to enjoy in the last days of the school vacation!
