This is easy hiking, rolling hills, with little elevation gain.  Some sections of trail do have lose rocks, or may be muddy.  Consider bringing trekking poles.  It can be windy, bring a wind breaker.

At this time the weather prediction calls for temps in the 60's with no precipitation.  Bring water, and lunch.  We'll stop lakeside for a break.  A trail chair or sit pad may be a plus, there isn't much to sit on.

Dogs are welcome.  Be prepared to keep your dog on leash and to pick up after them (bring poo bags and a canister to carry the bags out in).  Although by a lake there isn't much access to water on this trail.  Bring water for your pup(s).  Cactus is plentiful, have tweezers along.  Please let me know if you plan to bring your pup.

The trail is shared with mountain bikers.  Be prepared to step off the trail to let them pass.

Please notify me if you cancel.
