We will meet at the Target parking lot located on the SW corner of College & Troutman in Fort Collins. Estimated meeting time will be 6:30am, but may change. We will also try to have carpools for participants from the Denver/Boulder area. Meeting times and locations will be determined prior to the hike.

This trip is a hike beginning at the Bear Lake TH. We will hike on trail to Lake Helene, then continue to Lake Odessa and Fern Lake via Odessa Gorge. The hike will end at the Fern Lake TH. This will be a one way hike requiring a shuttle, so we will need a total of 3-4 timed entry permits for Bear Lake corridor. We have 2 reserved. As of September 3, there were about 80 remaining permits. I may ask you purchase a timed entry pass. The cost is $2 and I'm happy to refund the money to you.

Also, this trip is being listed as a Northern Colorado Group trip. So members of the NOCO Group will be given priority until September 16. I will place non NOCO signups on waitlist and then add them to the active roster beginning September 16 in the order of their sign up date.

Snowshoes will not be needed, however, I would recommend micro spikes. The trail below Lake Helene to Lake Odessa may be icy this time of year. Also plan on wind, so windproof jacket, etc. should be in your pack.

And again we will require 1-2 more timed entry permits for Bear Lake corridor.
