We will hike along Bear Creek until we hit the Bear Creek trail. We will turn left and continue on for 2 miles to the Panorama Trail in the Denver Park Mountain area. Great view from the top of Panorama Point. The hike is a steady up hill climb to the top. For RMOTHG members only.
Should not be a long day but remember this is a casual pace so it can take some time. We should on the trail by 9:45 and I assume it will take 3 to 4 hours round trip for planning purposes. Our plan is to hike up the trail for a little over 3.5 miles to a beautiful scenic overlook then turn around coming back down the same way.

We will be meeting at the parking lot across from the gas station at the Morrison exit off of C470. Please be there by 9:00 so we can leave at 9:15 for Lair O' the Bear parking lot.
Carpool charge - 10 miles X .34 cents per mile. = $3.40. Drive discretion to round up or down the amount.
Required Equipment
Ten Essentials - especially plenty of water (at least a 2 liters), Sunscreen, and layers to remove because the day will warm up as we hike up the trail. I would also highly recommend hiking poles. There are some steep areas on the hike and poles will be very helpful for stability. Also, please bring spikes. Not sure how hardpack the trail will be.
