Hiking – Intemann Trail
Beginning at the Iron Spring Trailhead, we'll follow the Intemann Trail to Iron Mountain. We'll hike to Red Mountain on the way back.

The trail is well defined, but rather steep in areas with considerable gravel. It tends to be rather icy as well. There is a bit of scrambling just below the summit of Red Mountain. Contact leader if you have any questions. 719-338-3886
El Pueblo members will meet in southeast corner of the Albertson's parking lot (1601 Highway 50) at 7:45am to organize and arrange carpooling for those interested. We should reach the Hiawatha lot (10 Old Man's Trail) in Manitou 8:30/8:45am and then take the free shuttle to the trailhead. Hike will begin approximately 9am.
Trip will begin and end at the trailhead.

Required Equipment
In addition to the 10 essentials, bring snacks/lunch, extra water, and traction. It will likely be rather icy in sections, particularly in some of the steeper areas. Consider poles.
