We will meet before 5:30 am at the Coors Tek Parking Lot in Golden, for a no later than 5:30am departure  Here’s a link to it in Google Maps ( https://goo.gl/maps/VLqhSXXK5D52  ). We can also arrange meeting in Nederland/Eldora, or in Arvada near the junction of CO93 and CO72 (Coal Creek Canyon Road)

We will start our hike at the Hessie Trailhead.  Here is a Google Maps link to the trailhead: https://goo.gl/maps/JWr5ihBZSTDzz3z99 .

This is a LONG loop hike mostly on good and/or established trails, and the reward is great views from the Continental Divide as well as of several high alpine lakes like Jasper, Devils Thumb, and Kings Lakes.

From the Hessie Trailhead, we will hike the Devils Thumb trail past Jasper and Devils Thumb Lakes up to the Continental Divide.  We will then hike on the High Lonesome Trail along the Continental Divide where we will be rewarded with sweeping views on both sides of the Continental Divide.  We will then take the Kings Lake Trail down past Kings Lake, then connect with the Devils Thumb Trail back to the Hessie Trailhead.

This will be a long day.  You should not have anything else planned that day.
