We will break into groups if needed for a hike from the Carter Park TH. The expected route is out and back to the overview bench on Juniata Trail. It begins with a 'switchbacked' uphill hike through lodgepole forest on trails that are used by mountain bikers and many locals & dog-walkers. It is a semi-urban trail, never far from roads or neighborhoods.
Longer and shorter hiking options are available with enough participant interest. Contact the Leader if you would like other hiking options before the picnic.
