We will meet at 5:30 p.m. at William F. Hayden Park parking lot, 1000 S. Rooney Road, Lakewood, CO 80228, which is just north of the Dinosaur Ridge Gift Shop and Museum.
We will gain 800' elevation over 2.5 to 3 miles walking to the radio tower on a wide dirt and gravel service road. If the weather cooperates, we will see the moonrise about 6:21pm.
There are bathrooms at the trailhead.
Required Equipment
We will be hiking at night so bring a headlamp (although you may not need it if the moon is bright enough). Bring trekking poles if you use them. You may want to bring extra layers since the temperature will probably be going down during our hike.
