Hiking – Golden Gate Canyon State Park - Horseshoe Trail to Frazer Meadow
Horseshoe trail is a great trail partly through the woods and meadow with some wildflowers along the creek. It is 4 miles round trip with about 900 ft elevation gain.This is in the life zone-Montane with peak bloom period from mid-June to July.

We will meet at the parking lot behind the CMC office (Coors lot) at 7:45 AM. Please arrive little before to arrange carpooling, as we will leave at 8:00 AM SHARP. This is in Golden Gate State Park, so those with state parks passes would be good drivers. Thise who don't want to carpool can caravan with us OR meet us at the trailhead at 8:45 AM. Please let me know if you are meeting us at the trailhead.
Driving Directions: Go north on Washington St. until it intersects with CO 93. Turn right onto CO 93, then turn west on Golden Gate Canyon Rd. Drive 13 miles, turning right on Crawford Gulch Rd. The visitor Center is to the immediate right. You can buy a daily parks pass there or at the pullout just before the visitor center. It is $10 per day. From the visitor center, drive another .5 mile to the Frazer Meadow/Horseshoe trailhead parking lot on left side. There is a bathroom at the trailhead.
