Let's meet at 7:45am for a prompt 8:00am departure, in the parking lot for Fourmile Canyon Creek Trailhead (also known as the South Foothills Trailhead) at 420 Lee Hill Drive in Boulder. It's here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/apAASnChnYfZ9B5K8
We'll carpool to Jamestown, where we'll park across the street from the Mercantile, adjacent to the park. We will start hiking from there immediately upon arrival, around 8:20am.
We'll start with about 5 miles of slow going up the James Creek drainage. It's a mix of singletrack with some bushwhacking and repeated creek crossings. Most likely, we'll have wet feet. :-)
Once we reach Gold Ridge, we'll follow Forest Service Road 509 to the top of Slaughterhouse Gulch. We'll hike down that lovely singletrack back to Jamestown.
Required Equipment
Those who prefer hiking poles in rough terrain will want them.
