Exploratory hiking in BLM's new trail system just west of Montrose during the mellow seasonal wildlife closure (no bikes, no motorized, no dogs). Great views from the San Juans to Grand Mesa.

Leave the public lot west of Autozone Montrose at 10:30am to caravan to trailhead or notify leader to meet us at the Electric Hills (on Google maps) Hwy 90 trailhead at 10:45am.
We'll explore approximately 6-7 miles of trails in the area.
