Hiking – Eccles Pass Loop

Hike slow to moderate rate to Eccles Pass & then up to ridge & down Gore Range Tr to Buffalo cabin trail & then Lily pad lake trail back to Car. We will search for Yellow glacier lilies on both sides of pass.

Be prepared for 8-10 hr on the trail. Bring plenty of food & water. Could encounter a little mud. We will all park at Meadow Creek trailhead. Once reaching 11,900, depending upon weather & endurance of group and whether or not glacier lilies are found we could turn around at top of pass or down continue down Gore Range trail & Lily pad lake trail back to our car.

Leader may hike slower going up to 11,900, then faster on downhill parts.

Bobcats & any others invited who have endurance for 12mi hike invited.

Meet at 6:15am, depart sharp at 6:30am.  meet at Wooly Mammoth park/ride off I70, section BB, across from gas station/coffee stop. this park/ride is located off the NW corner of the intersection.
