This hike was traditionally known as the "Turkey Sandwich" hike the day after Thanksgiving.  This enjoyable hike is a one-way hike from the Blue Sky TH near Horsetooth Reservoir, 9 miles along the beautiful "hogback" rock formation to the Devil's Backbone Open Space TH in Loveland.  The views on this hike are very pretty of the valley along this route, and at the halfway point we will enjoy a lunch break. The leaders will leave cars at the Devil's Backbone Open Space TH, so that the group will be able to get back to their cars at the Blue Sky TH or JJ's.  This will be a fun way to burn a few calories after Thanksgiving!

Meet at JJ's parking lot (east edge), 4015 S. Taft Hill Rd. (at the intersection with W. Harmony Rd.), Ft. Collins, at 9:00 a.m. to carpool to the Blue Sky trailhead, which is 5.5 miles west on Co.Rd. 38E.
