This hike takes us along the picturesque H Bar G Ranch Trail, where the path meanders through shady pine forests and open meadows, offering glimpses of distant peaks. With each step, we gain elevation and sense the pull of Crosier Mountain, visible in moments through breaks in the trees. The trail joins with the Crosier Mountain Trail, where the ascent becomes more challenging, winding steadily toward the summit. Reaching the top, we'll be rewarded with breathtaking, panoramic views stretching over Estes Park, the Mummy Range, and beyond, with rocky outcrops and alpine vistas to savor. On the return journey, a quick detour up Knapps Knob adds an extra adventure, revealing another sweeping perspective of the rugged landscape before descending back along the Crosier Mountain Trail to the trailhead. We'll stop at a comfortable spot for lunch/snack. Our pace will be comfortable for all participants. Overall ~9 miles and ~2400 ft elevation gain. (Crosier Mtn - Devils Gulch - CalTopo)
