Hiking – Columbine Lakes via Caribou Pass

Beautiful casual 6.3 mile hike in the Indian Peaks Wilderness with just over 1000ft elevation gain. Seeing Columbine Lake at the top is a great reward. Chances of spotting moose along the way are usually pretty good.

We will meet at the Wooly Mammoth Park and Ride section CC at 7am and carpool from there. We should be hiking by 8:30am. Dogs are welcome if I am allowed to pet them frequently and must be kept on leash. If you bring a dog you may need to drive or meet at trailhead.
If you plan on meeting at the trailhead a $5 day use pass required with pay stations along the way, credit card only. 2WD can make it but barely.
Bring 10 essentials. Bug spray, sunscreen, rain jacket highly recommended.
