Meet at the Chimney Gulch TH on Hwy 6, Lookout Mt. and Windy Saddle Park in Golden. It is on the west side of Hwy 6 between 19th St and the Hwy 58/Hwy 6/Hwy 93 interchange (39.75037458353721, -105.2290761254601).  We will shuttle up to the Chief Hosa exit to drop a car or two, as needed, at the Genesee end of the Beaverbrook TH (39.71563106134389, -105.30934842767482).

You must be vaxxed and boosted to participate in this trip.

Difficult C - I will write you with a weather forecast the week before the hike. Do not assume bad weather means the trip is canceled. We only cancel if the roads are treacherous. We just try to dress appropriately.

Please bring those of the 10 Essentials https://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/ten-essentials.html (https://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/ten-essentials.html) appropriate to a mountain hike:  Wear proper hiking boots, sunglasses and sunscreen, a hat, a personal first aid kit, nutrition items, and plenty of water. Rain jacket with hood is a year-round pack item.  Part of the trail is steep and rocky, so bring hiking poles if you use them.  Let me know of any medical conditions that might affect you on the hike.
