RMOTHG MEMBERS ONLY - Bowman's Shortcut Trail is 2 miles further than the Shrine Ridge TH (which is closed during the weekdays, due to trail maintenance, until October 20th).  We will hike through a forest carpeted with green underbrush with views of  Copper Mountain, Ten Mile Range, and Gore Range along the way. But, the most breath taking part of this trail is the last 1/2 mile when we will be hiking along a high alpine meadow which is appropriately named "Top of the World".   It truly feels like it as we'll have spectacular views of the Gore Range, and Mount of the Holy Cross!!!

Last year when I led this we encountered maybe 2 or 3 mountain bikers and they were all going uphill, very, very slowly.  This is part of a big loop they like to ride so we will not have them screaming downhill on us!!!
