Hiking – Ben Tyler Trail - North/Ben Tyler TH

We will meet to arrange a carpool at 7:00 AM at the Morrison Park and Ride: 3485 S Rooney Rd, Morrison, CO 80465. We will depart the PnR around 7:15 AM. 

The hike will start at 8:00 AM at the Ben Tyler Trailhead (right off 285): 54166 US Hwy 285, Bailey, CO 80421.

Please let me know if you plan to meet the group at the trailhead. This trailhead can be easy to miss as it is right off the highway.

This is a trailblazers hike (21-40s). Other CMC members welcome pending availability. This is a challenging 11.7 mile hike with almost 3,400 feet of elevation gain that will take at least 7 hours to complete. We will monitor weather and avalanche conditions and propose an alternative back up hike if needed.

If the group wishes we will grab dinner and a beverage post hike along HWY 285.
