Hiking – Beaver Creek Wilderness Study Area
Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome. This is a wonderful and varied late fall hike with some (hopefully) fall foliage. We will divide the group into a slower and faster group.

Lets meet at the Alta gas station in Penrose Colorado at 9AM.
We will drive to the trailhead from there.

This is a wonderful and varied late fall hike with some (hopefully) fall foliage.
This is more difficult than the mileage indicates. Do not have early plans, as this will be a full days hike. We are usually back at the trailhead around 4-5 PM.
There are two stream crossing and some minor route finding.
We will have lunch at the high point and enjoy the views.
If you bring your furry friend, please bring tweezers, lunch & water for them.
Poles, water-shoes & lunch are recommended.
A valid fishing, hunting, or SWA pass are required to hike in this area. They can be purchased at Walmart or most sporting good stores
