Plan to be at the Glacier Gorge TH at 7:30 AM. Carpool details will be emailed before the trip.
Top rope ice climbing and belay experience required. This will be a long day out with no guarantee of any ice climbing. Anything is possible in RMNP so plan for harsh conditions. I will setup a top rope for us at the flow near Jewel Lake. It can be a bit of a bushwhack to find the ice so be prepared for exploring off trail in deep snow. This is a popular area for guides as well so we might have to adjust accordingly.
Required Equipment
crampons, mountaineering boots, harness, helmet, belay device, all the gloves, belay jacket, hot drink/soup. I'll have ice tools for us to share unless you want to carry yours.
